Update from Poland

The events unfolding in Ukraine seem far away, yet they touch the hearts and lives of so many here in America. We are currently on the ground in Poland to support Children's Path and other Ukrainian refugees. Our kids and caregivers are safe and we are working closely to support them during this difficult time. We have coordinated efforts with our Polish friends at the Sheep and Dragon restaurant to house and feed refugees in transit to a permanent placement. Thus far, we have housed 140 refugees in an air b n b we are renting on a monthly basis, including 100 children. They are not only able to receive a free place to stay, but are provided 3 hot meals a day at the Sheep and Dragon next door. The refugees are receiving free hygiene products including diapers, wipes, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste. There is a play area set up for the children where they can watch movies in Ukrainian, play with toys, and work on puzzles. This provides a respite for mothers who are shell shocked from fleeing their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and enables them time to think through more permanent options for their families. We thank you for supporting our efforts in serving those in need.
